Privacy
That's the Way has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
Location
The app uses your location while you play, to find places nearby and to know when you've arrived. It stays on your iPhone. To find places, your approximate location is sent to Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy.
What's stored
Your history, your own challenges, your settings (including the optional name you add) and any photo cards you make are kept only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.
Photos
The camera is only used when you tap Take a photo at the end of a walk. The photo becomes a card with your result, kept with that walk in your history, where you can delete it. The card is a new image, so it doesn't carry where it was taken. It's only shared if you share it.
Share links
A share link contains the challenge itself - the place, any clues, and, if you choose, your score, your name and where you started. Whoever you send it to can see that. When a link is opened in a browser, this website shows the place name; it doesn't store the link or anything about who opened it.
